Check the Chain

I built a fast, approachable way to find a hadith from a rough description, inspect its source and grading, and follow its chain of narrators.

47,000+ narrations
16 collections
Offline iOS search
Check the Chain semantic hadith search results on iPhone
Search by remembered meaning, not only exact wording.
Check the Chain hadith source and Arabic detail view on iPhone
Source, grading, Arabic text, translation, and saved state stay close together.

The problem

People often remember the meaning of a hadith but not its exact wording or source. Check the Chain makes that incomplete memory searchable while keeping the original collection, reference, text, and grading visible.

What I built

The product combines semantic and keyword search with collection browsing, scholarly gradings, Arabic and translated text, saved and recent reading, share cards, and a visual isnad for the chain of narrators.

Designed for trust

The interface avoids pretending to replace scholarship. It keeps attribution and grading context close to every result, while the native iPhone app can search the full corpus offline.
